The Podcast has landed

Here it is. The epic surprise I mentioned in the previous post. It's nothing visually exciting but it'll make your ears laugh...if that's even physically possible.

I won't go into too much detail as the link I've provided explains it all for you, which is nice.

Basically it's a podcast that myself and internet bargain hunter Oli have conjured up in the everlasting pursuit of internet stardom.

So feast your lobes on...

Listen, download and subscribe. It is currently the launch weekend of Categorically Comedy so tune in today and Sunday for another 2 special podcasts. From then on, check back every Friday for a weekly update.

It has unbelievable sound and music tekkers.

Dramatic tension music

Coming soon to a monitor near you...

Something spectacular...

Something incredible...

Something categorical?

Stay tuned to this and of course the wonderful status updates on my Facebook page for an ultimate internet experience...

A temporary hiatus has been placed on Oli's experiment until January.
I know this is bringing tears to your eyes but the visitor numbers have decreased meaning his purchases become money wasters if no one is bothering to view them. Shame on you.

So for now check out his most recent purchases then stay tuned for January's mega buys.

Pe-degree?

I hope you enjoyed the title. It is possibly the worst thing I could think of to associate with what Pete related news I have.

As you may or may not have guessed from the title (probably not guessed) I will blabber on a bit about the Comedy and Culture aspect of my course once again.

I can see your faces now.

And it msn speech I will voice your thoughts on me talking about my course once again...

FFS. FML. TTYL. ROFLMAO.

etc.

Don't know why I felt the need to do any of that. Moving on.

On Monday our seminar group was humbled to hear that we'd spend the majority of the 3 hours watching South Park the Movie. Epic.
We watched, laughed and note took (it is university-ish you know) for a good 2 hours before we settled to discuss the topics raised and analyse the film. If you look through the swearing, farting and general offensiveness to every race known to man it's actually a pretty clever film. Dealing with censorship issues and who is really to blame for bad child behaviour.

I think I've probably ruined the very essence of comedy in the film for you now and for that I'm sorry.

As you can see my course isn't really doing much for itself in terms of proving it's actually a course. But hey, I'm not fussed. You sit there and read, I'll go watch another film.

Swiftly trundling forward. The weekend was relatively eventless. Not that that is even a word. So my unfortunate readers I don't really have anything more thrilling to provide you with just now.

I'll work on that.

Pete related news... My review for Halo Reach was published in the University newsletter. Great success. Plus...I am reviewing Medal of Honor for potential publishing too. Double great success.

Oli has made a vital purchase. Let's just hope it doesn't fall into the hands of terrorists... Too soon for 9/11 jokes? Way to lose all your followers Pete.

The Dreaded Lurgi

Lurgi: A slang word used to describe an illness such as a the common cold or flu.

Yes I've got it.

As hard as I tried to avoid it (not very) I have caught what is commonly know as the "Fresher's Flu."
A lack of vitamin C, alot of alcohol and probably going out into town Thursday night in shorts, t-shirt and flip flops have all combined to give me a bunged up nose, sore eyes and a chesty cough.

Bollocks.

As a result I missed my Friday seminar as well as my Friday night 5 aside...which saw our first defeat ever at the hands of the 3 times champions "Take A Bow Son"...4 goals to 1.

As you can tell, I really am sick...

Anywho, consequently (nice word) I haven't really done a huge amount of interesting things in the past few days. However, I have picked out a couple of gems to share.

The first relates to Thursday night's partying. It was beach themed...hence the shorts and t-shirt. But, for the first time ever...in my experience anyway, we had to queue to get into Club I.

It may not seem a shock to those who don't have any idea what I'm blabbering on about but to me, I have never been so outraged.

Anyway, this wasn't the news. The news was that, even though the drink is common knowledge, I had a Refresher for the first time.

For those who don't know what it is:

Blue VHF/WKD
Yellow (Lemon) VHF/WKD

Simple. And! Does actually taste like a Refresher the sweet...smiley face for the first time ever! :)

Now, just a quick nerdy side note to anyone who is interested. Medal of Honor came out on Friday and a certain house mate has certain ways of obtaining certain things in a certain style.

Not stealing from a shop.

So, as he/she studied like a good boy/girl I played as best as I could and completed the story in about 3 hours. All in all, not bad. Graphics are good, cutscenes are awesome, storyline is good. Yet, for those who like CoD Modern Warfare 2 it'll all seem very samey to you...

3 things for you to feast your beautiful eyes on. Aren't I nice eh?

Oli's most recent purchases. Always a must see.

MrRaffle's new video...there's going to be changes...

Another blogger...one I don't know but is very popular on the old Tube.

Belated but Updated

I'm so very sorry.

But here you go. An update.

What's new in the world of Pete?

Well on Monday I got to watch Finding Nemo in my Comedy and Culture as you already know. Hence the Facebook status...

"You know your degree will be worth it when you watch and analyse Finding Nemo"

That was what was on my mind.

The Comedy choice seems like a positive one. Each week we study different aspects of laughter. This week we're reading about the Carnival. So trained animals, giants, midgets and bearded ladies.

In the upcoming weeks we get to cover our favourite comedy film, favourite rom-com, favourite sitcom, favourite stand up comedian and also look into silent films.

Monday night I popped into town...as I seem to do alot.
Remedies (the infamous Monday club) was playing pretty decent music for once...however I was compelled to leave when I heard the DJ say...

"Alright Falmouth who's ready for some DUBSTEP?!"

Immediate disinterest from me.

The late night on Monday kept me delightfully toasty in bed until midday. This meant I might have missed a lecture...bad Pete.

However, I did go to my afternoon lecture which was all about Literature and it's connections with law.

Finally something of decent interest.

In conjunction will Daniel Defoe's Moll Flanders (blah blah blah English things) we've been set an epic task of writing about an Old Bailey trial from the 18th Century.

For those who are oblivious to anything outside of the 21st Century...

Basically it's court trials usually ending in branding, burning, limb removal or death.

I've probably bored you to tears filling you in about my last couple of days but if you can grin and bear it...

Check out the last few purchases Oli has got his hands on.

Plus stay tuned for an epic surprise on his website too...

That's it for now.

What smells like shart?

I know. I missed a posting on Sunday. Terrible. Not that any of you noticed...in fact me telling you this will probably spark torrents of abuse for an absence of posting.

To compensate I will provide you with some beautiful comedy material that is connected to my title.

Watch all of these videos. They. Are. Epic.

Especially Fudge, Morning Routine and Pillow Talk.

In other news I was fowled upon by a seagull yesterday. Also connected to the title. All over the collar of my new jacket. Luckily ('scuse the being pooed on pun) I have a girlfriend so she washed it for me because she is a star.

Anywho, not much else has happened over the weekend to be honest. I went to a pretty decent house party and got very drunk. Standard. My football tournament was cancelled because we didn't have a goalkeeper...so technically we dropped out, the tournament wasn't fully cancelled.
I've purchased Pro Evolution Soccer 2011. It's like Fifa but not...

And that pretty much covers it I guess.

As for Monday. The highlight so far...considering it is only twenty to one, is getting to watch the opening sequence to Finding Nemo in my Comedy and Culture Seminar. Well worth the 9am start and 3 hours of classroom-ness...

Here are a couple of cheeky purchases Oli has made over the weekend.

He feels like the experiment is getting a tad monotonous so there may be some wonderfully surprising changes happening soon. My advice is to stay tuned...it's coming...
