Today's will be the usual, standard, average, potentially dull post. However, tomorrow, as planning ahead, I will not only entertain your retinas with my day but also how Dave Eadie from my hometown of Ivybridge, became well known for his infinite widsoms. So stay tuned...
Onward.
My fantastically brilliant girlfriend (said of my own accord of course) invited me along to a night out in Falmouth as all of her former flat mates, and current house mates, were all back from their respective summers.
"Delighted to" I cried.
Well not really. But I said yes.
First time out on a Saturday, mingling with the locals, taking in Q Bar a place I hadn't really been before. All in all it was an awesome night of just bar drinking.
In this bar I had my first ever Cookie Monster. A shot that they concoct, give you a sugary lemon to suck on before and after and fill as saucer with the same shot. However, the twist is that they set the whole saucer of fire, blow it out, then once you've done the main shot you have to drink the mega hot alcohol from the saucer...
As complicated as that all sounds it was very tasty...and very alcoholic...and very good at making people drunk.
Check out the recipe if you fancy making the shot or cocktail version yourself:http://www.cocktailmaking.co.uk/displaycocktail.php/598-Cookie-Monster
Moving on.
I was a mega grumpy, cranky and grouchy pant this morning because I slept terribly (not connected to the shot) and promised I'd let my girlfriend and her house mate use my internet to get hold of the very sought after Glastonbury tickets...
This meant being up at 8.30am...and I'm most definitely not a morning person...
Well after almost 4 hours of waiting and queuing (and me sleeping)...at midday they managed to get some and I decided to wake up. To celebrate we all had a fry up, decent shower and a cheeky little nap.
All in all it was worth it and I will publicly apologise on here for being such a poobum.
And finally...Check out Oli's Saturday Purchase here: http://www.olihaydon.com/page2.htm
and check back tomorrow for Sunday's and possibly Monday's purchase depending on the £1 market...
Ciao for now.
